Massive Attack’s Mezzanine now available as spray paint
“Guys, are you okay?” asked one Massive Attack fan on Facebook following the announcement that the Bristol band, who earlier this year encoded their 1998 album Mezzanine into DNA, have now made the album available in spray paint.
A limited number of spray cans will contain the DNA encoded audio within matt black paint, with each can containing approximately one million copies of the album.
Massive Attack’s 3D said: “It’s an interesting way to vandalise your back catalogue, although DNA-encoded spray paint is unlikely to be adopted by street artists seeking anonymity.”
