More headliners revealed for Bristol Sounds 2024

The second wave of headliners for 2024’s Bristol Sounds has been revealed as Placebo and James Arthur.

They join Skindred, Gentleman’s Dub Club, The Skints, The Breeders and many more on this year’s open-air concert series’ packed lineup.

Bristol Sounds returns to Lloyds Amphitheatre for its tenth anniversary from June 22 until 30, with seven evenings of music planned including three all-day concerts.

Headlining June 28, multi-platinum-selling grunge-rock duo Placebo last played in Bristol in 2015, with the duo back for one night only with their Bristol Sounds gig as their only current UK show.

Singer-songwriter and 2012 X Factor winner James Arthur will be performing on June 26 six years after his last Bristol performance.

Event promoter Conal Dodds of Crosstown Concerts said: “Bristol Sounds is fundamentally a festival for the people of Bristol, and each year we like to curate a programme that will catch the attention of everyone and anyone.

“It’s such an eclectic mix of genres and gigs, you’re guaranteed to have a great time.

“When we’re thinking about our bookings, the lineup has always been put together with the fans at the core of our decision-making, and we can’t wait to watch the crowd’s reactions as their favourite artists take to the most incredible stage in the city.”
