New Order and The Specials form part of the Colston Hall Presents programme, which sees the concert venue utilising other spaces across Bristol while the Colston Hall undergoes its £48.8m refurbishment.
Colston Hall artistic director Todd Wills said: “It’s great to be bringing two legendary British bands into Bristol for the biggest weekend of the summer.
The Cinematic Orchestra joins Bloc Party, Tom Misch, The Cat Empire and Elbow at Bristol Sounds which runs from June 26 to 30.
Bristol Sounds co-founder Conal Dodds said: “Bristol Sounds continues to go from strength to strength and this is our biggest and best lineup yet. We can’t wait to bring these incredible live acts to the heart of the city and adding The Cinematic Orchestra on Sunday night ends the series on the perfect note.”
Tickets to New Order and The Specials will go on sale at 10am on Friday, February 1 from the Colston Hall box office. Members can access a pre-sale from Wednesday, January 30. Tickets to all Bristol Sounds gigs will be released for general sale on Thursday, January 31 at 9am.

This summer will be the fourth time the Colston Hall has programmed music at the Lloyds Amphitheatre, following Goldie and the Heritage Orchestra in 2015, Outlook Orchestra in 2017, and Jimmy Cliff and Grandmaster Flash in 2018
