New release from indie rockers Trust Fund
One album a year is good going for any artist, but Bristol lo-fi indie rockers Trust Fund are about to release their second of 2015.
Seems Unfair – out October 30 – comes just six months after the band’s critically lauded debut No-One’s Coming For Us, and it’s further proof of Ellis Jones’ emergence as a songwriter to watch. Coming on like a cross between the power-pop of Teenage Fanclub and the scuffed surrealism of Pavement, Seems Unfair looks destined to cement Trust Fund’s status as indie darlings.
On new single Football, lead artist Ellis Jones explains the reasoning behind his topic of choice: “I feel so ambiguous about football and especially the kind of football that you can watch on TV, but I basically can’t deny how important it is to a lot of the relationships I have with people.”
