New SWX owners plan to increase live music focus

By Rhys Buchanan  Wednesday Nov 15, 2017

It’s not been hard to notice the increasing amount of high quality names appearing at SWX recently. In the last year they’ve seen iconic bands like Ride and Thee Oh Sees through the doors, plus there’s plenty more on the way.

Electric Group who acquired the venue last month has revealed their intent to work with both local and national promoters to bring much more live music to the 1100 capacity venue in the future.

The company have experience managing London based venue Electric Brixton and said they recognised this space because of its performance potential in its outstanding atmosphere, production and sight-lines.

Dominic Madden, Electric Group Co-Founder, has said: “We operate with an independent mindset, shaping an easy and collaborative culture for promoters to embrace SWX with as few financial strings attached as possible.

“Having invested substantially to make the venue production complete we are focused on providing a perfect platform for shows so we can help promoters smash ticket sales.”
