Omni Rooms, based in St Jude’s, suffered major damage due to a fire which broke out on October 16 last year.
The fire consumed all of the contents in the main room including the structural work designed for the studio.
It also caused damage to the thousands of pounds worth of equipment owned by the studio and owned by bands currently working there. The fire is believed to have been a “freak accident”.

The studio set up a Go Fund Me page as well as a raffle to raise money for site and have announced a gig at Rough Trade with all proceeds going to the residents of Omni Rooms who lost their equipment to the fire.

The final band on the lineup is IOTA, the five piece 90’s grunge and alternative rock who were the creators of the recording studio. Jodie, the lead singer, owned, built and produced from the studio and is where the band would call home.
