Noods Radio goes digital
Four years after starting from a sofa in Stokes Croft, an independent radio station is hitting the digital airwaves.
Noods Radio promise that their move to DAB will still appeal to the misfits, dancers, collectors and selectors that make up Bristol’s music community.
“The step-up to DAB is a big one for us,” says Noods co-founder Leon Pattrick. “We feel it’s the start of a few big things to come and is going to connect us with the people of Bristol in a new way.
is needed now More than ever
“People are going to be able to stumble across it on their commute and already regular listeners will be able to connect with the station in new ways.”

Some Other Times host a show on Noods Radio every third Tuesday from 7pm
To celebrate, Noods have invited some special guest residents to take part over the next three months, including Swedish musician Peder Mannerfelt and Bristol-based artist Javeon.
The radio station moves to DAB on July 15. For new listeners, Leon says to expect “a wide-range of music for everyone. Be prepared to tune in with open ears.”
With new programming to celebrate in addition to more than 250 regular residents, the DIY station is excited to finally have its Ofcom license and finally make the move to digital radio.
“It’s something that we’ve always dreamed about,” says Leon.
