Preview: Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Mar 16, 2017

Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival is back in 2017 and bigger than ever. Started in 2013 by friends Colin Gorrie and Denny Ilett, who believed that a high-calibre festival was missing from Bristol’s established jazz and blues scene, the festival has now grown into one of the city’s biggest music events. The programme is designed to appeal to all sorts of people, with a wide range of musical tastes.

Thursday 16: Metropolis with live score by Andy Sheppard

The 1927 masterpiece will be accompanied by a live score in a world premiere. The 10-piece band has been hand-picked by British composer and conductor Andy Sheppard.
