Preview: Fields of Fantasy Day Party

By Issy Packer  Wednesday Jul 27, 2022

Fields of Fantasy was set to be a three day camping festival set in a secret location with five stages and over 100 acts. However, they unfortunatley had to cancel the festival a couple of months before the event was due to go ahead.

The organisers attributed the cancellation of the festival down to a number of social issues including the cost of living crisis, the shortage of infrastructure and oversaturation of the events industry.

However, things aren’t as bleak as they seem. Despite the disappointing news, Fields of Fantasy will be holding a day party on 30 July at Windmill Meadows, a 15 minute drive from Bristol.

Fields of Fantasy is a new brand, with the organisers hoping that the day party will give attendees a taste of what the brand is trying to achieve; diversity, inclusivity and pure imagination.

Many of the artists from the original festival will be attending the day party, many of them still wanting to be involved. Ben Hemsley, Sarah Story, Hayley Zalassi and Edd will be headlining, with EMMY, Mista Ray, Belle and a whole host of others in attendance.

The day party will include two stages, a bar, food stalls and a chill out area. There will also be walkabout entertainment including fortune tellers and magicians.

The event is a free ticketed event, with the public being asked why they are interested in attending before being sent a sign-up link. They will also be providing public transport to and from the site for the price of £6.

Promising intimate vibes and a proper party for festival goers and artists alike, Fields of Fantasy hope to hit the ground running ahead of next year’s festival.
