Preview: Henge, The Fleece
Hailing in the name of rave, intergalactic performers Henge will be bringing their cosmic show to Bristol next week. I’ve already dusted off my sequined jacket and face paint in preparation for a colourful evening of camaraderie and synth driven oddities. Their live performances are nothing shy of an energetic pantomime complete with flashing visuals, dancers and outrageous outfits. Their shows are more than just your average gig, Henge push the boundaries of music and live performance making it a fully immersive experience.
Henge have created their own world and language, their website even features character profiles all written in their native tongue of Agriculan. Don’t let this deceive you, they’re actually from Manchester.

is needed now More than ever
Support will be in the form of ‘rocky notjazz’ but ultimatley jazzy The Evil Usses who manage to create barbaric beats which follow a narrative. Take Tokyo Surf Accident as an example of their clustered percussion and ferocious sax licks. When all gargled together it makes for a cacophony of goodness – if there ever was such a thing.
Henge will be wrapping up their tour in Bristol and performing 2 exclusive shows at The Fleece to commemorate the end of their Cosmic Dross Experiment Tour. Expect catchy lyrics, swirling electronica and galactic riffs.
