Reports of Luna’s death are greatly exaggerated

Clifton Village’s oldest late night bar and club is very much still open.

Once the Birdcage and then the Alexander, Luna remains hidden behind a door in Richmond Terrace close to the corner of Victoria Square and is now back under old management.

Open on Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm until late, a night at Luna promises a nostalgic mix of music and drinks for a friendly, older and more genteel clientele.

“Okay, so it’s been done before but for some it’s the best with the music and retro decor giving an atmosphere a gentle and reverent nod to the 70s and 80s yet it can still surprise you with an offering of funk, soul, hip-hop, club classic, pop and electro all designed to get you dancing,” said Luna’s owner David Bell.
