Rod Stewart to kick off tour at Ashton Gate next year

Rock royalty Sir Rod Stewart will be coming to Bristol’s Ashton Gate next year to kick off his Under The Stars tour.

The date was announced this morning as an extra show on the tour due to incredibly high demand.

He will take to the stage on May 22 next year delivering a string of classic hits alongside some new music from the forthcoming 30th studio album Blood Red Roses.

Despite being a Celtic fan at heart, Stewart is already well familiar with the Bristol stadium, having played there 13 years ago to a sell-out crowd.

The announcement also follows the recent news that Ashton Gate will receive a new £100m development including a new sports and convention centre on the site.

Tickets will be available from Saturday morning at 9am via www.ticketmaster.com
