Simple Things Festival to return in 2024 for 10th anniversary edition
Simple Things has announced its return to Bristol after four years to celebrate its 10th edition.
The programme will be centred around a full day of music, taking place on February 24 at various venues, including Bristol Beacon, Strange Brew, Rough Trade and SWX.
For the first time in the festival’s history, there will be a weeklong series of events, separate from the primary day, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary.

This includes an extra special closing concert from vaunted avant-garde trailblazer Fever Ray on February 29.
Announced for the day programme includes Max Cooper’s A/V experience in Bristol Beacon’s main room. Joining Cooper will be Warmduscher and special guests Les Savy Fav with a rare UK appearance.
Gilla Band and the critically acclaimed, lo-fi punk master Wu-Lu will also be making an appearance at the festival.
Bristol artist Kayla Painter is also bringing her unique immersive and ever-evolving AV performance to the festival as well.
MC Flowdan will be making his solo Simple Things debut, as does the critically acclaimed vocals of Jeshi.
Local heroes Giant Swan will close proceedings in the main room while returning locals Spectres promises an exciting live performance.

Much-loved guitar label Speedy Wunderground will also be in Bristol to celebrate 10 years with some of their best acts, including O., Miss Tiny, featuring label boss Dan Carey and Viji.
Live electronic music is represented on the day programme with the likes of Evian Christ’s brand new live experience, complete with a full light show, Paranoid London’s acidic chug and vocals from Gazelle Twin.
There will also be a separate night programme which promises to be as stacked as the day programme. Taking place from 10pm to 6am, the nighttime festival will be hosted by Strange Brew and Lakota.
Much-loved Bristolian Julio Bashmore will be making an appearance and is joined in the main room by Saoirse.
Record label Wisdom Teeth is hosting Room Two, bringing TraTraTrax Label boss Nick León to the party alongside DJ Python, Facta, K-Lone and Yushh.
The Coroners Courtrooms will be hosted by the all-female and non-binary Mix Nights and Love International, respectively, bringing the likes of Josey Rebelle, Orpheu The Wizard, Daisy Moon b2b Danielle, and Vlada, among many others to the city.
The aforementioned week-long series of events lineup is yet to be announced.
