Sleaford Mods speak out after female fan reportedly groped at Bristol show

By Rhys Buchanan  Tuesday Apr 9, 2019

Sleaford Mods have made a statement following an alleged sexual assault during their recent sold out show at O2 Academy Bristol.

The electronic post-punk duo from Nottingham performed in Bristol on Saturday 6th April and were celebrating their new record ‘Eton Alive’ when the incident is said to have took place.

The pair condemned the actions through Twitter: “We’ve had a report of a female fan being groped in the crowd last night.”

“Touching anyone without their consent is not acceptable no matter how you dress it up. If you think groping women is acceptable don’t bother buying a ticket, we don’t want your money and you’re not welcome.”

The organisation Safe Gigs For Women have said, “The more people call out this behaviour, the better environment live shows will be for everybody.”
