Bristol bands return to play Temples festival

By Laura Williams  Monday Jan 26, 2015

After a blinding first year, Temples festival returns to Bristol in May with a massive line-up.

Tickets are now on sale for the festival, which takes place at Motion from May 29-31, and organisers have just revealed some of the acts confirmed for the weekend event.

Seattle drone masters Earth as the closing headliner on the Sunday – a fittingly sinuous end to a weekend of relentlessly heavy music.

Converge, Sunn, Pig Destroyer, Between the Buried and Me, Bongzilla, Nails, Pallbearer, Today is the Day, Portal, Will Haven, Weedeater, Tribulation and Bristol’s own Sonance and Svalbard among others.

A spokesman for the festival said: “We’re pleased to welcome Sonanace and Svalbard back to the Temples Festival coliseum, these two local bands were each noted as highlights of Temples Festival 2014 by an impressive number of our patrons, and so in addition to including a number of local artists – we felt it apt to invite them back for Temples 2015 as our only ‘repeat bookings’ this year, an accolade to both bands.”

Limited Weekend Tickets and an ample supply of Day Tickets are available from www.templesfestival.co.uk
