Foodies in Bristol rejoice! The long-awaited return of the Food Connections festival is upon us.
The festival runs for ten days, between June 12 to 23, and will see over 50 events take place in the main festival hub, which this year will be Colston Hall’s foyer.
There will be 70 other partner events happening in venues across the city.

There will be a mix of incredible food stalls, tasting sessions, community events, pop-up dinners and children’s activities. It’s a feast of food, fun and events suitable for all ages to enjoy.
While there are booze and bites in abundance, there’s also a whole host of events where you can get your fix of tasty beats. Here’s our top picks.
Eats, Beats and Boats, June 12-23
All aboard the Beats Boat for a lunchtime sail around the harbour.
Every day during the ten day festival, Bristol Ferry Boats will be departing from the Cascade Steps for an hour of music and great food from around the world.
Sample the delights of locals Pieminster, delicious delicacies from the Somali kitchen, and some of the best tagines from the Moroccan Cafe, all soundtracked to their own musical ambience.

Chilean Delights, June 13
Gloucester Road’s La Ruca will be exploring the delicious flavours of Chile in a five-course tasting menu called Chilean Delights.
The evening kicks off with a surprise live music performance which you can be sure will tickle the tastebuds, accompanied by a traditional pisco sour cocktail.

Valley Fest Presents: The Wake Up Rave, June 14
Usually, a rave finishes in the early hours of the next working day, but Valley Fest are putting their own spin on things.
Head down to Colston Hall between 7am and 9am on Friday, June 14 for a pre-work party. Tunes will be supplied by Valley Fest’s Nick Terrific and MC Rocky Patch, who are guaranteed to get you moving better than that first cup of coffee.
Yeo Valley’s Kefir will supply morning goodness to your gut, and special Bristol breakfast bowls from ‘Bowl of Plenty’ will be there to get you fuelled ahead of the working day.

La Buena Onda, June 16
Holy Cross RC school is putting on a family afternoon to indulge in delicious, traditional foods from Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia.
The event will be packed with activities for children, and you can see the pupil’s work which will be exhibited around the grounds.
The afternoon will be soundtracked by the Mexican sounds from the one and only DJ Kosalsa, who will be spinning the best Latin grooves to get moving to.
The event is free to attend.
