The Small Horse Inn to open on Small Street

By Meena Alexander  Thursday Oct 1, 2015

The former home of the Big Chill Bar on Small Street is getting a new lease of life, soon to open its doors as a “70s Swedish skiing lodge meets Twin Peaks style bar”.

The Small Horse Inn is the latest venture by Team Love – the Bristol events giants behind In:Motion, the Glastonbury Wow! Stage and Love Saves The Day festival.

“The focus will be on great music, fantastic drinks and fabulous décor,” says Team Love co-director Tom Paine. “Basically it’s going to be the slightly upmarket sister of The Love Inn on Stokes Croft.”

An extra pull will be The Gourmet Dessert Club, who will open their kitchen doors at The Small Horse exclusively to serve desserts, from fruity cheesecake jars to black cherry brownies.

The venue will officially launch on Friday, October 2, with boogie specialists Feel The Real kicking off the musical offerings, while house heads Pardon My French and The Dance Off Soundsystem will take up the mantle on Saturday.

The Small Horse Inn will be open until 4am on weekends and midnight on weekdays.
