Blues singer-songwriter Elles Bailey has been nominated for three awards at the UK Americana Awards while folk/Americana songwriter Lady Nade has also been nominated.

Taking place on January 26 2023 at Hackney Empire in London, Americana Awards began in 2002 while the UK version was inaugrated in 2016.

Elles Bailey has been nominated for the UK Live Act of the Year, which is a new award for 2023, UK Artist of the Year and UK Album of the Year for her album Shining In The Half Light.

Bailey’s long-term guitarist Joe Wilkins is also in the running for UK Instrumentalist of the Year.

Lady Nade has been nominated for UK Artist of the Year and will be competing alongside Elles Bailey, London band Bear’s Den and indie duo Ferris & Sylvester.

Of the nominations, Bailey said: “I’m utterly blown away and haven’t had a chance to process this news! What I will say, however, is that this is a testament to the EB Fam!

“All the songwriters I work with who help tell my story; my unreal live band for the many miles we have covered this year, who also made such a beautiful record with me that I am so darn proud of.

“I’m also super-chuffed that Joe Wilkins is also up for Instrumentalist of the Year. He’s such a huge part of my story: a super talented guitarist and he so, so deserves this!”

The Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Instrumentalist of the Year Awards are all member-voting however, UK Live Act of the Year is a public vote.
