Yola Carter nominated for three Grammy Award gongs

Winning a Grammy can be seen as the pinnacle of an artists recording career. It’s arguably the most prestigious music award in the world.

The shortlist has just been announced and not only is it mostly dominated be female artists, but it also sees Bristol’s own Yola Carter appear three times on the list.

The Eastville-born rising star has been nominated for Best American Roots Performance for her song Faraway Look, Best Americana Album for her debut Walk Through Fire, and also Best New Artist which sees her joining the likes of Lizzo and Billie Eilish.
