This production inspired the hugely successful and popular movie version starring Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, which is also based on the original novel by Victor Hugo.
Staging and scenery have also been inspired by paintings by Hugo and the show is set to dazzle the Hippodrome with songs such as I Dreamed a Dream and Do You Hear the People Sing? next spring.
