A Mad World My Masters, Theatre Royal Bath

SPONSORED:

English Touring Theatre return to Theatre Royal Bath this month with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s hit production of A Mad World My Masters by Thomas Middleton.

Updated to London’s Soho, 1956, glamour rubs up against filth, and it likes it!  The posh mix with musicians, whores and racketeers; virginity is ‘no city trade’, and the dashingly cash-strapped bachelor, Richard Follywit, in pursuit of quick cash and a good time has to live on his wits…

Described by the Daily Mail as ‘riotously funny’ and the Sunday Times as ‘wonderful fun’, the Jacobean romp is directed by the Olivier Award-winning Sean Foley, following his recent success at Theatre Royal Bath with Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense.

Complete with a live band, 1950’s Jazz musical numbers and outlandishly colourful characters, expect what the Daily Telegraph calls ‘a disgracefully entertaining evening.”

Playing at Theatre Royal Bath from April 7–11. www.theatreroyal.org.uk
