Review: Nutty Noah, Brewery Theatre
If you’re looking for a way to entertain your little ones for an hour or so this weekend, then head to the Brewery Theatre at 11am and 2pm on Saturday or Sunday to watch Nutty Noah: Wear Your Pants With Pride.
My four-year-old was guffawing with laughter on my lap and she was certainly not alone; Nutty Noah knowing just how to appeal to the humour of pre-schoolers and primary school children.
Among magic tricks, songs and audience participation, there was a poo conjured out of a tomato and toilet paper fired into the audience.
is needed now More than ever
And of course: pants, something that has come a bit of a trademark for the Weston-super-Mare-based entertainer.
“I liked when that guy chashing him and when Nutty Noah had pants on his head,” my daughter told me when I asked her what her favourite bits of the show were.
The guy chasing him was from a short video at the beginning of the performance, which ended with Noah bounding onto the Brewery Theatre stage.
What followed was high-velocity entertainment, with a seemingly endless number of props being brought out of a miniature grand piano and then some larger-scale set pieces such as a magically levitating table and the remarkable hornaphone, an instrument made up of some dozen horns.
This was great fun from start to finish, with plenty of knowing nods to the mums and dads as well. I’ll now be wearing my pants with a renewed pride.
The four remaining shows of Nutty Noah: Wear Your Pants With Pride are at the Brewery Theatre at 11am and 2pm on May 30 and 31. For more information and tickets, visit www.tobaccofactorytheatres.com/shows/detail/nutty_noah_wear_your_pants_with_pride/
