Show of Strength’s ‘Fanny & Johnnie’ returns
Brilliant local theatre company Show of Strength bring back their theatre and dining experience Fanny & Johnnie Cradock Cook The Great American Songbook to College Green on Friday, April 29.
Enjoy a three-course meal with iconic 50s/60s/70s TV culinary duo Fanny & Johnnie Cradock as they cook up a storm in SoS’s acclaimed dinner show, which was featured on The Hairy Bikers and now returns to the Orangery Marquee on College Green.
The Cradocks namedrop, argue, insult, parlez dodgy Français, sing, and reveal Fanny’s darkest secrets as they serve up a feast of entertainment. Fanny hilariously demonstrates the first two courses with help from the audience, regular bursts of song with Johnnie at the piano, and plenty of laughter.
The menu is by Kate’s Kitchen: Fanny’s signature Prawn Cocktail, Victory Chicken (vegetarian options available) and Salute Escoffier.
Kate McNab & John Telfer star as Fanny & Johnnie. Actor, singer & musical director John Telfer is well known from TV’s Bergerac and as Alan Franks, Vicar of Ambridge in The Archers. Jazz singer Kate is also well known through her own company The Ministry of Entertainment.
“The evening is a winner… a joyous piece of theatre” Venue magazine *****
