Video: Aardman’s unique animation for Bristol Old Vic
The House is Open is now played before every evening show at the Bristol Old Vic to let audiences know that the house is open.
Developed by Aardman alongside video design studio Limbic Cinema, the short film highlights the architectural transformations of the building over the course of its 252-year history.
The animation is projection-mapped onto the original 1766 wall of the theatre:
is needed now More than ever
The House is Open is part of a new interactive heritage experience at the Old Vic which has been brought to life in a collaboration with Bristol Archives and the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, and supported by the National Lottery.
