Bristol24/7 Presents: How Bristol can become the first Net Zero city
Bristol24/7 has teamed up with the Global Goals Centre to explore how Bristol can lead the way in creating a sustainable city.
Sustainability and the journey towards a net-zero city will be the focus of the next in the Bristol24/7 Presents 2021 Series. The panel event is sponsored by TLT.
The effects of climate change are intensifying, however, whilst it might seem overwhelming, climate innovation is also leading to cleaner air, restoring nature and creating a new wave of green jobs.
is needed now More than ever
This year, the UK will be hosting the COP26 summit, which will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and tackling climate change.
The event, held this autumn, will bring together governments, civil societies, companies and individuals to inspire climate action and bring about lasting positive change.
As a city, Bristol is making a way in achieving net-zero status – but still has a way to go. In January 2019, Bristol mayor Marvin Rees launched the first iteration of Bristol’s One City Plan to make Bristol a fair, healthy and sustainable city.
Join Bristol24/7, the Global Goals Centre and expert panellists in this free virtual event on Thursday September 16 to explore how Bristol is making its way towards achieving net-zero status, the challenges at hand and what you can do.
The event will also feature additional commentary from people across different sectors in Bristol, including Bristol24/7 Better Business members.
