Balter Festival- a look back
Still reeling from their huge lineup release, we’re looking forward to this years Balter Festival with a look back at last years wacky antics.
This Bristol centric festival, based just across the bridge in Chepstow, is moving into its 5th year and has become a strong contender for people looking for a small festival with a local vibe but with internationally recognised artists.
is needed now More than ever
Featuring a colourful range of eclectic underground music from across the UK and Europe, though with a heavy focus on the Bristol scene, Balter is definitely different. With 10 full blown stages there is something for everyone, as long as you like your music fast and fun!
The main stage is headlined by Portuguese turbo-folk madmen Pas de Probleme, with MC Devvo also making an appearance over the weekend. Around the rest of the site there is electronic music from DnB to breakcore, with a heavy dose of jungle and bassline in there as well. Artists include Ed Rush, Audio, Demolition Man, Wrong Music, Off Me Nut, Koan Sound, JFB, Remarc and many more. There is even a 4m wide revolving disco ball where absurdly named DJs play classic disco and ridiculous cheese music
This three day getaway from normal life has become an annual pilgrimage for some, with attendees travelling from around the country and even across Europe. 2018 is looking like it will be their best year yet and we can’t wait to see what they come up with!
