Festival celebrating wellbeing and global cultures returns
Returning for its third year, the Vitality micro-festival promises to bring good vibes, a celebration of independent culture and showcase global music and art.
The festival is a one-day event that takes place at the Malcolm X Community Centre on Saturday, May 4. Bringing together local people, independent artists and musicians, great tasting street food and community organisations and businesses, the festival is a celebration of all things good in Bristol.
With workshops, dance, showcases and stalls, the event has something for everyone. It’s alcohol free and drug free too, making it a safe space for families and children.
is needed now More than ever
Musicians performing include Ngaio, the one of the city’s best new musical talents and Bristol24/7 columnist. There’s going to be an acoustic stage too and the talents of Kev the Poet and Urban Word Collective are among the announced highlights.
For those who want to get more hands-on, expect smoothie cycling with APE Project, Capoeira martial arts and African dance and drumming workshops.
With the sun (hopefully) shining and spring in full bloom, it will be the perfect opportunity to browse the global range of plant-based food stalls. It will all be vegan and made with healthy eating in mind, with a range of Caribbean, East African and Middle Eastern inspired food offerings, including raw cakes and a kombucha bar.
Entry is free, but a donation of £3 is suggested, and everyone is encouraged to join the diverse and friendly St Pauls community to celebrate wellbeing, happiness and global culture.
