Moved by Conflict

By Martin Booth  Friday Oct 10, 2014

M Shed and the Old Vic join forces to explore the profound effect that the First World War had on Bristol and its people.

Through hundreds of original objects and archives, new exhibition Moved by Conflict explores the physical, social and personal changes made by war.

Real stories will reveal how Bristol lives have been altered by the turmoil of war, as visitors are taken from the early 1900s and Bristol’s key role in the British Empire, through 1914 to 1918, to people in the city today affected by current global conflicts.
