Preview: Tokyo World 2018
After the success of last year’s weekend festival, Tokyo World is once again spilling over two days at their Eastville Park site, from September 22-23, and is aiming to keep things fresher than ever with a linup that punches above its weight.
This year the festival will focus more on contemporary artists and new sounds, as well as giving revellers the added dimension of having more live bands than ever before. Organisers say they plan to do all of this whilst remaining true to their usual genres of grime, hip-hop and drum’n’bass.

Fashion and music go hand-in-hand at the festival in Eastville Park
The headline acts alone represent this as Action Bronson closes the main stage on Saturday, and Sister Sledge on Sunday. Other top acts to look out for include Artful Dodger, Buggsy, Nadia Rose, Culture Shock, Lady Leshurr, Morcheeba, Dub Pistols and Bristol’s own Laid Blak.

Both days of the festival will be followed up with official after parties at Motion, which will include some of the artists from the festival as well as special guests.
