WATCH: How Boomtown Festival are reducing drug harm

By Liz Ward  Thursday Dec 21, 2017

The Bristolian founders of UK festival Boomtown, Chris Rutherford and Lak Mitchell, have released a new video documenting the harm reduction services that were trialled at the 2017 festival.

The short documentary openly discusses the dangers of drug abuse in both the festival environment and in society at large, promoting substance awareness and education as answers to the growing issue of drugs deaths. The festival teamed up with The Loop, a non-profit organisation that provides information and sample drug testing services.

BBC Three’s four-part series Drugsland, filmed entirely in Bristol, includes footage from Boomtown’s harm reduction services in its final episode.
