First dance music festival of 2021 will take place at secret Bristol location
Set to take place at a secret location just outside the city, Lakota’s Summer of Love will be the “first full-blown UK dance music festival of 2021”.
Celebrating electronic dance music in all its forms, the event will showcase more than 50 female artists as part of the two-day lineup, which features headliners Eats Everything and Sam Divine.
Taking place the weekend of July 24 and 25, the festival aims to “unite friends, old school ravers, and like-minded people” as the country eases out of lockdown restrictions.
is needed now More than ever
The team behind Lakota nightclub & gardens are organising the festival. They say supporting local talent and curating a gender-balanced lineup were important considerations for them.

“It’s important for us to inspire women and show that a career as DJ is a realistic aspiration for young women,” say organisers.
“We also wanted to create a festival that is supportive of the wider communities within the music industry. We’re really proud of the diverse lineup we have put together for our first festival.
“We believe that Bristol is blessed to have some amazing talent, both male and female, big and small from all communities.
“We’re confident that this event represents the diverse talent of the city and UK and will inspire the future female stars of tomorrow by giving womxn a platform to showcase their talents.”

Headlining Saturday, festival-goers will experience the energetic house beats of DJs, Eats Everything and Sam Divine, both of whom lay their roots in the South West’s club scene.
Sunday’s lineup will include platinum drum and bass producer, Wilkinson, as well Sherelle and Watch The Ride.
Alongside these musical heavyweights, some of the best up and coming talent in the South West will be showcasing their skills, allowing festival goers to discover the stars of tomorrow.
Food will be available from local Bristol street food vendors and all the bars will be plastic-free, with a plastic alternative being used in place of the standard plastic cups used by most festivals.
Summer of Love is promising “an enormous weekend of music, impressive stage builds, festival production and dance performances”, with three impact stages, two smaller stages and a fairground.
Attendees are able to buy £5 return bus tickets from multiple locations close to the centre of Bristol.
