Grillstock Festival 2018 headliners revealed

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Apr 19, 2018

Black Grape and Fun Lovin’ Criminals have been revealed as the headliners of Grillstock Festival 2018 which returns to the Lloyds Amphitheatre over the weekend of June 30 and July 1.

Festival organisers also promise the usual meat, music and mayhem – with this year’s King of the Grill competition being overseen for the first time by the prestigious Kansas City Barbecue Society, the biggest name in competition barbecuing.

Clifton Chilli Club will once again be hosting their infamous live chilli eating competition, with hot dog and hot wing contests taking place on the main stage each day.

Formed after the breakup of The Happy Mondays, Black Grape will headline the festival on Saturday night; with multi-platinum New York trio Fun Lovin’ Criminals, headed by BBC 6 Music presenter Huey Morgan, headlining Sunday.

Grillstock managing director Barry McMurdock said: “As far as festivals go, Grillstock is up there as one of the most fun, unique and entertaining events in the city.

“There aren’t many places you can go to see the best live music, incredible BBQ and beers as well as people eating the world’s hottest chillies for the crowd’s amusement!”
