UK’s largest urban walking festival returns

By Rachel Morris  Wednesday Feb 18, 2015

The UK’s largest urban walking festival returns to Bristol throughout the month of May, with more than 150 walks from 60 organisations.

The full programme is not yet available, but festival highlights already announced include a guided tour through Leigh Woods, stopping off at Luke Jerram’s fishing boats installation Withdrawn for a talk with the artist.

Festival activities will include the chance to learn the ancient art of Qi Gong at Ashton Court or the city centre.

Would-be amblers can learn to map-read at Stanfords on Corn Street, as part of the festival’s programme of workshop events. And there will also be talks from guest speakers.
