Help support Upfest return to Bristol in 2018

By Thomas Katan  Tuesday Apr 17, 2018

If you to help Upfest to return to Bristol in July, now is the time to reach into your pocket to find a few quid.

Upfest is Europe’s largest street art festival – and it’s completely free.

At this year’s 10th anniversary event in July, 400 artists from across the world will descend on Bedminster and Southville, and now festival bosses are asking your help to make the festival happen.

This year’s crowdfunder hopes to raise £20,000 to go towards festival costs, including supporting attending artists with materials and the equipment needed to paint the huge walls.

Those donating can receive incentives including t-shirts, graffiti workshops, artwork and a sketch book filled up by festival artists.

Upfest founder Steve Hayles said: “We’re incredibly proud of the growth of Upfest over the past 10 years. However, as we’ve grown so too has the cost to run the free to attend event.

“Donations of festival tickets from NASS Festival & the Downs Festival, as well as meal vouchers, boat trips and even Lucky Lucky Cats which are available as rewards really shows what Upfest means to everyone in Bristol and beyond.”

Upfest needs to raise their intended £20,000 goal by Sunday, May 13 – with almost a quarter of the total raised in less the 24 hours after the crowdfunder went live.
