Upfest and Ashton Gate team up for largest event yet
Upfest is back for another creative instalment and has teamed up with Ashton Gate Stadium to create the largest collection of live painting that the event has seen in its nine years of existence.
Europe’s largest free street art and graffiti festival will take place in various venues throughout south Bristol from July 29-31.
It will host more than 300 artists from all over the globe, with more than 100 of them plying their trade in the Ashton Gate area, both inside and outside the stadium.
is needed now More than ever
Ashton Gate will also play host to the festival’s longest painting surface, with 50 artists set to work on a 200 metre long stretch.
Upfest co-founder Stephen Hayles said: “We’re excited to be teaming up with Ashton Gate and extending the festival to bring the biggest collection of artists, entertainment and kids activities to stadium.”
There will be an array of entertainment for all the family at the event, with an emphasis on children’s activities.
Several craft companies will be in attendance, providing a wide selection for youngsters at the event, each supplying a different creative opportunity.
Creation Station, Colourful Minds and ArtRainbow are just a few of the organisations set to attend, with other organisations like the Royal Society of Chemistry set to attend and events including a rock guitar workshop organised by Let’s Make Art.

Brazilian artist Kobra will be at the event.
The vast collection of artists that will be at this year’s event means there will be even more different styles on show at Upfest than ever before.
Portugal’s Pantonio, USA’s Buff Monster, Sweden’s Henrietta Kozica, Brazil’s Kobra and Bristolians Filthy Luker, Cheba, Cheo, Inkie, Voyder and Jodie are just a small collection of the names participating in the festival (there will be 350) in total.
Both Upfest and Ashton Gate have expressed their delight and excitement at working together for this year’s event, which will create a more colourful, vibrant community environment, as well as providing a fun, creative day out.
All money raised will help raise awareness of the NACOA (National Association for Children Of Alcoholics).
