Upfest to team up with The Simpsons at 2018 festival

Street art interpretations of Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Homer and Marge will appear on the walls of Bedminster and Southville this summer as Upfest teams up with The Simpsons.

At the festival which is returning for its 10th anniversary year from July 28 to 30, three artists have been selected by The Simpsons creator Matt Groening to bring his world famous characters to life in their own unique styles.

The artists are:

  • Bao, born and based in Hong Kong, is known for her freestyle work with vibrant murals and illustrations

  • Soker is one of Bristol’s finest graffiti talents who has been putting his mark on the city since the late 80s

Upfest founder Steve Hayles said: “We’re incredibly pumped to be celebrating the iconic characters of The Simpsons – it’s a show truly loved by people of all ages.

“2018 marks a significant milestone for us. Being our 10th anniversary we wanted to go big and given the global phenomenon surrounding The Simpsons makes this the perfect collaboration.”
