Valley Fest announces full line up for 2023

Valley Fest have released their full programme of live music, food traders and activities.

Taking place alongside Chew Valley Lake, a 30 minute drive outside of Bristol, the festival returns from August 3 to August 6.

The event kicks off on the Thursday with Bristol collective Hippo Sound System and Arcadia Sound System, well-known for their fire burning performances at Glastonbury Festival.

The festival will welcome headliners Soul II Soul on the Friday evening, alongside Bristol talent Ishmael Ensemble and Doreen Doreen.

At the helm of the food programme is Josh Eggleton from The Pony Chew Valley.

The menu includes feasts, cooking over fire and plenty of demonstrations from much-loved regional chefs and beyond.

Fronting the Saturday night are Brighton band The Kooks as well as Scouting for Girls and Black-led female/non-binary DJ crew, Booty Bass.

Plus Pegs Quinn from Sonny Stores, Noya Pawlyn of Noya’s Kitchen, Kalpna Woolf and Danny Bohan from River Café London and many more will be providing a feast for festival-goers.

The final headliners of the weekend are 80’s pop trio Bananarama and electro-funk band Ibibio Sound Machine.

New for this year is a Sunday Regen Roast! Ali Pumfrey from Yeo Valley and Rob Howell from Bib-Gourmand-awarded Root are producing a roast using regenerative farming methods.

The Community Farm returns and will be running tours, wildlife walks and workshops, so you can see organic and regenerative farming in action.

From pint-sized punk poetry with T.S Idiot, to The Little Things Theatre and Stone the Crones performances from Beccy Golding, the festival promises something for the whole family at the Hear Here stage.

When you’re in need of pampering, the Spa area promises to provide massages, meditation and movement; from sacred sound to yoga flow, reiki to reflexology, it will all be there.
