Caffe Fiorentina

With a name like Caffe Fiorentina, the newest cafe on Whiteladies Road could not fail to be pure Azzurri.

Fiorentina is the name of the football team from Florence. It’s like travelling to Italy and opening a cafe called Bristol Rovers.

There is green, white and red on the sign of a cafe lucky enough to be one of the few on Whiteladies Road with enough pavement space for an outside seating area.

The menu includes Italian favourites such as pasta, risotto and lasagne, all cooked fresh to order by a vegetarian chef.

For many years, Cosmopolitan on this site was a well-frequented greasy spoons, and Fiorentina has kept up this tradition with a full English breakfast alongside burgers, chips and assorted other artery blockers.

Coffee is by Illy and there is a large selection of smoothies.

But unfortunately, this cafe is more Football Conference than Serie A.
