CUPP opens on Park Row

By Georgia Watts  Friday Mar 22, 2019

Surrounded by the likes of Gastro Vinyl and Bristol Fine Art, CUPP looks right at home in its new residence on Park Row.

Bubble tea has long featured on people’s Instagram feeds and blogs and after many months of hard work, the store has opened its doors for the first time.

It’s their fourth in Bristol, following Quakers Friars, Wapping Wharf and St Stephen’s Street.

Bubble tea is a sweet drink that originates from Taiwan and consists of milk tea and large tapioca pearls which are sucked up through equally chunky straws. Shaking these ingredients together gives rise to a bubbly foam, and any fruity and milk infused tea that is made in this way qualifies as bubble tea.

CUPP launched in Bristol in 2012, and after a short stint touring music and food festivals across the country in a converted Citroen H van, they found their first residency in Quakers Friars, where they were Bristol’s original food and drink business in a converted shipping container.
