Good Roots Cafe at Arts West Side
It was buggy central in Arts West Side‘s new cafe on Wednesday morning as a creative play session for the under-fives was hosted upstairs.
So much for a quiet coffee then but quietness isn’t really what this not-for-profit creative artspace, office space and now cafe on Old Market is all about.
Good Roots Cafe has taken over the ground floor space at Arts West Side, with a menu as small as the cafe with four tables and a comfy leather sofa.
is needed now More than ever
Both sweet and savoury crepes are a speciality here: spinach, mushroom and potatoes (£3), banana and caramel (£2), or lemon and sugar (£1.50).
Then there is Indian cuisine including pakoras and kitchuris, alongside eggs and toast and soup and bread.
Free healthy eating sessions in collaboration with Trinity Community Garden are being organised by Arts West Side on August 13 and 20 for children aged five and over. To book, email bentleg@3ca.org.uk
