Olive & Fig sits at the unloved Redcliffe end of Nelson Parade opposite a car park currently being used by builders vans.
It’s also next to the Rope Walk, a pub which alongside Grounded over the road has attempted to pull this area of Bedminster up by its bootstraps.
With its exposed brickwork and blocked in windows and doors, Olive & Fig certainly looks the part of a trendy cafe.

There are more than 60 choices chalked up on the menu board – everything from all-day breakfasts to burgers and jacket potatoes, with Sunday roasts for just £6.
My bacon and cheese omelette with chips and salad for £5.80 hit the spot on a wet Monday lunchtime, chunky pieces of bacon clinging to the gooey cheese.
