A street party to celebrate the end of Bristol Food Connections
The final celebration of Bristol Food Connections comes to the Old City on Sunday, June 23 with a street party from 11am on Corn Street.
From theatrical storytelling to family-friendly live DJs, there will be plenty to get stuck into at the first ever Old City Street Party.
There will also be the chance to design plant labels and take home free packets of seeds – one of the ways that this street party will encourage children and adults alike to keep a passion for food alive through growing their own food at home.
is needed now More than ever
The rich history of the area will be brought to life throughout the day with dressed up characters roaming the street, welcoming anyone to listen as they recite tales inspired by Corn Street’s historical significance.

Actors will bring the history of the area to life
But bringing people together to eat and appreciate the range of tastes Bristol has to offer is by far the most important part of this final celebration.
With food being the main theme of the event there will be plenty of traders selling delicious snacks, meals and drinks to enjoy. Visitors will have the option to take away or eaten within the specially-created outdoor eating areas with deck chair and bench seating.
Keith Rundle from Bristol City Centre BID said: “This area is home to some of Bristol’s oldest curiosities, from medieval vaults to the giant 18th century brass trading tables, known as nails, outside what is now St Nicholas Market, it is alive with fascinating stories.
“We want everyone to wander around this unique area, enjoy the free activities and sample some delicious food.”
