More than 40 breweries to attend Bristol Craft Beer Festival 2019

By Martin Booth  Monday Jun 3, 2019

“When we first came up with the concept behind our craft beer festivals, our first thought was that Bristol is one of the country’s great brewing cities. We have to be involved there.”

So says Bristol Craft Beer Festival founder Greg Walls, who on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 is bringing the festival back to the Lloyds Amphitheatre.

Following a successful move to the new location last year, this weekend’s two-day event will once again see thousands flocking to the festival to sample the finest brews from Bristol and beyond, with more than 40 breweries showcasing their wares this year.

What sets Bristol Craft Beer Festival apart is its ticket system. One session ticket grants access to as many beers as you wish to sample from . There are no tokens or additional drinks purchases.

As well as some Bristol and UK favourites, breweries featuring this year include Basqueland Brewing Project from Spain; Cloudburst, Commonwealth, Humble Sea, Sierra Nevada and Temescal from the USA; Collective Arts from Canada; Dugges from Sweden; Mikkeller, People Like Us and To Øl from Denmark; Põhjala from Estonia; and Stone & Wood from Australia.

And let’s not forget Bristol and South West favourites Wiper & True, Lost & Grounded, Left Handed Giant, Good Chemistry, Moor, Harbour and Wild Beer, who will all once again be attending.

Greg added: “The beauty of Bristol Craft Beer Festival is that you can go and sample your favourite local beer but right next to them is a brewery from Sweden, Denmark, Australia or the States that maybe you’ve never heard of before.

“You get chatting and before you know it you’re trying beers that you’ve never tried or have never once been poured in Bristol, and probably never will again.”

The food offer is pretty damn tasty, featuring Bristol favourites Koocha, Murray May’s, Two Belly, Eatchu and Asado; with an all-female DJ Lineup including Flava D, Mollie Collins, Ngaio and Glade Marie.

Bristol Craft Beer Festival 2019 takes place at the Lloyds Amphitheatre on June 7 and 8. Tickets are available from www.bristolcraftbeerfestival.co.uk at £45 plus booking fee which includes entry to the event for five hours, festival pours of any beer from any brewer, a full music lineup, access to the people that make the beer themselves, a free beer tasting glass and a programme.
