Preview: It’s a Bristol Ting! at Lakota

By Fiona Burgess  Friday Apr 29, 2016

Fancy a not-so-chilled Sunday complete with live music, plenty of mouthwatering Caribbean cuisine and even more rum punch? Well all of this awaits you this Sunday at Lakota. Entry is free and starts at 2pm at the height of the British sunshine (one can hope).

The day festival, which was created by Bristol Food Connections, is a unique city-wide food festival which aims to bring “people and good food together”. It’s billed as a fun-filled family day out which will include food stalls, face and body painting workshops; a charity raffle and a live music lineup powered by Tremor Soundsystem.

Among the returning visitors will be Wayne from the Sista Gees stall (above), which has won the jerk chicken competition two years running and is back to try to reclaim its title.
