6 O’Clock Gin release limited Brunel Edition

By Nat Brereton  Thursday Jul 20, 2017

Bristol family-run business Bramley & Gage have teamed up with Brunel’s ss Great Britain to launch their special limited edition 6 O’Clock Gin.

The Thornbury-based gin distillers have created a one-off bottle, which will also raise money for the ss Great Britain Trust. £1 from every purchase will be donated to the fund, and will go towards their new Being Brunel museum, which is set to open in February 2018.

The ‘Brunel Edition’ introduces a new twist on the original 6 O’Clock Gin, with the addition of six botanicals, to include green cardamom, nutmeg, cumin, cassia bark, cubeb and lemon. The result is a bolder flavour followed by a rich, spicy finish.

Michael Kain, director at Bramley & Gage, said: “Brunel has huge appeal. His engineering achievements are visible in our bridges, tunnels and railways around the UK, and he is remembered with people, places, businesses – and even a university – named after him. It was an easy choice for us, as some of his most famous work is here in Bristol.”

The limited edition bottle is a stylish black with a copper-coloured label. Six different neck tags featuring images of Brunel will also form part of the design. 5cl miniatures are also available.
