Acclaimed Bristol chef set to appear on Great British Menu
A former MasterChef finalist and the owner of Woky Ko is returning to the small screen to battle it out with some of the country’s top chefs.
Larkin Cen is set to represent Wales on the Great British Menu, which returns for a third series this month presented by chef, television and radio broadcaster and singer Andi Oliver.
On BBC Two and iPlayer, the new series will see a new judging lineup of Michelin-starred Great British Menu double banquet winner Tom Kerridge; restaurateur Nisha Katona, and comedian and food podcast presenter Ed Gamble.
is needed now More than ever
The theme of this year’s series is a celebration of 100 years of British Broadcasting and each participating chef is tasked with “creating mesmerising dishes that both represent their region as well as television itself”.

A self-confessed ‘noodle obsessive’, Cen hopes a combination of his Asian cooking techniques and competitive nature will take him all the way to the banquet.
His “playful menu” celebrates the long-running children’s programme Fireman Sam, which is based in Wales, and is set to showcases his knowledge of Asian cooking methods.
Cen grew up in his parents’ Chinese takeaway in Cardiff, where he developed a love of cooking. He went on to become a MasterChef finalist in 2013, giving up a career as a lawyer to pursue his dreams of being a chef and founded Woky Ko in 2017. The acclaimed chef now owns four restaurants in Bristol with a development kitchen in Wales.
