Is this the best place to watch Wimbledon in Bristol?

Beer in one hand with both legs stretched out in front of him, one tennis fan had the best vantage point in Bristol on the terrace on top of The Deuce Bar in Millennium Square to watch Rafael Nadal’s epic match against Gilles Muller on Monday night.

More than one beer was most definitely needed as the two-time Wimbledon champion lost to the 16th seed from Luxembourg after four hours and 47 minutes.

The Deuce Bar has a smashing view of the big screen in Millennium Square

The Deuce Bar could not have picked a better evening to open for business. Open from midday, it will have a view of the big screen for the tennis until men’s final day on Sunday.

Within a converted shipping container, it serves beer and cider both in draught and bottles, including a pale ale from the Wimbledon Brewery.

Of course, this being Wimbledon there is also Pimm’s available by the glass or jug, as well as mojitos, a passionfruit martini, and gin and tonic.
