Boston Tea Party opens its newest Bristol cafe

By Martin Booth  Thursday Jun 3, 2021

Boston Tea Party has closed more of their cafes in Bristol in recent years than opened new venues.

But there is good news for cafegoers who miss their Boston fixes in Clifton Village and Whiteladies Road, where the former BTPs have turned into Eat a Pitta and Low & Slow.

For this new cafe on Blackboy Hill sees many familiar faces from those two previous incarnations who have been brought together at this new site.

Located in St John’s Court, which for seven years was River Cottage Canteen, it has been beautifully fitted out with some seats on the first floor within the eaves of the Grade-II listed 19th century church hall.

Inside, it’s light, bright and airy; with a palpable buzz and already queues outside on its first morning of opening on Thursday.

Boston may have recently closed two Bristol cafes but Whiteladies 2.0 more than makes up for their departures.
