Boston Tea Party to open in Stoke Gifford

By Laura Collacott  Sunday Jul 17, 2016

Boston Tea Party is to open its sixth café in Bristol after agreeing terms on a unit at The Square, a mixed use neighbourhood centre in Stoke Gifford’s Cheswick Village development.

The company has begun fitting out its unit shortly and expects to open in mid to late-October, joining the Co-op, Barnardo’s, Happy Days Nursery and Fair and Fresh Produce which have all opened in the past six months. It will have 150 seats inside and 50 outside with the signature Boston Tea Party design.

The 1,000 home Cheswick Village development is close to UWE’s Frenchay campus and Abbeywood.

“Cheswick Village is a great location with huge potential,” says marketing manager Ben Hibbard. “The residents are currently underserved for anywhere to go locally without having to jump in the car, so we feel we can become a real hub of the community, whether a coffee in the morning, brunch or lunch or a bite to eat later in the day. We will be able to host local community groups and events, and the feedback we’ve had from the locals so far has been extremely positive and we can’t wait to open. Plus we are walking distance from U.W.E, MOD and Hewlett Packard headquarters, so we are also able to offer those guys something different too.”
