Wiper & True marketing manager Alice Howells said that “it’s no secret that craft beer remains a heavily male-dominated world, and for many women this makes gaining industry experience and access a challenge”.
Within Wiper & True, there are “significantly” more employees who identify as men than women or non-binary.
Alice added: “This International Women’s Day our team wants to take small, practical steps towards improving this imbalance.
“We know this opportunity won’t fix all the problems around sexism, stereotypes and inclusivity in beer, but we hope that it will give a couple of people the chance to look behind the scenes into an industry they are interested in working in.”
If you are interested in applying to be considered for Wiper & True’s work experience opportunity, complete this application form by 9am on February 7.
